Infoday on individual Erasmus+ opportunities within the EUs Delegation to Ukraine’s Communication cCampaign “Learning and Growing Together” (15.02.2025, Lviv)
On 15 February 2025, a large-scale youth event — the first “Molodizhna Metro Station” Meetup — took place at FESTrepublic in Lviv. The event marked a key milestone in the nationwide communication campaign #LearningAndGrowingTogether, implemented by the European Union Delegation to Ukraine.
The event brought together active youth, students, young veterans, and representatives of the civil society sector to discuss European integration and personal development. The primary goal of the gathering was to raise awareness regarding the EU’s systemic support for education and youth policy in Ukraine.
The programme was packed with interactive formats and professional discussions. Within the Discussion Space, participants and keynote speakers explored vectors of youth leadership, career development, and the role of young people in Ukraine’s European integration processes.
Particular attention was paid to contemporary challenges and technologies:
-
Digital Literacy: Participants attended an interactive lecture titled “AI for Gen Z”, where they examined practical case studies on using artificial intelligence for learning.
-
Social Support: Dedicated programmes for young veterans and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) were presented, highlighting the inclusive nature of EU support.
Throughout the day, an Opportunity Space was available, where guests received comprehensive information on key EU projects and grants for Ukrainians. Youth organisation representatives and opinion leaders had the chance to establish direct contacts with experts and ambassadors of such programmes as:
-
Erasmus+, eTwinning, and EU4Youth;
-
The Young European Ambassadors initiative and the EU Study Days project;
-
The EU Information Centre at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the Euroquiz;
-
Regional initiatives, including the Interreg NEXT Poland–Ukraine Programme, the Lviv Bureau of European Integration, and the “Lviv – European Youth Capital 2025” project team.
As part of a panel discussion, Kateryna ZHDANOVA, Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Ukraine, presented Erasmus+ opportunities for active youth. The speaker showcased individual opportunities for students, educational staff, young people, and youth workers, while also focusing on the Programme’s latest updates for Ukrainians during the war. Additionally, further educational opportunities from various EU Member States in support of Ukraine’s active youth were presented.
Detailed recommendations were provided on searching for opportunities, preparing application packages, and the expected outcomes of mobility for studies, teaching, and traineeships, as well as Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees. Following the presentation, the speaker introduced exchange opportunities for youth and youth workers, alongside participation in volunteering projects as additional Erasmus+ pathways.
At the conclusion of the event, participants engaged with the speakers, shared their success stories and experiences, and received answers to their questions.
